Your whole balance sheet, one number that updates itself
Net worth is the one number that tells you whether your money is actually going anywhere — and most people only compute it a few times a year, in a spreadsheet, by logging into six sites. Skycopia connects your accounts read-only and snapshots your assets, liabilities, and net worth once a day, so the number and the trend are just there.
Real numbers from one user's own account, July 2026. Your waste will vary — that's the point of the audit.
The spreadsheet method, and why it quietly dies
The manual version everyone starts with: a spreadsheet with a row per account. Once a month — or once a quarter, honestly — you log into every bank, brokerage, and card, copy the balances over, and subtract what you owe from what you have. It works. It's also tedious enough that almost nobody keeps it up, and the gaps between updates are exactly where the interesting movements hide.
Worse, a hand-updated number can't answer the question you actually care about: is the line going up? Four data points a year is not a trend. A dip caused by a big credit-card month looks identical to a dip caused by an investment drawdown — unless the assets and liabilities are tracked separately, on the same day, every day.
That's the whole design of Skycopia's net worth tracker: daily snapshots of every linked balance, assets and liabilities broken out, and a trend line that builds itself while you do nothing at all.
How it works
There's no data entry and no monthly ritual. You connect accounts once; from then on the number maintains itself.
- 1
Connect your accounts, read-only
Link your banks, cards, and loans through Plaid. Skycopia can see balances and transactions — it can never move money — and it's free with no card required.
- 2
Get a daily snapshot, automatically
Once a day, Skycopia records every linked balance: cash and investments as assets, cards and loans as liabilities, and the difference as your net worth. Nothing to type, nothing to remember on the first of the month.
- 3
Watch the trend build
Your first data point appears within about a day, and the trend line starts as soon as there are two. The chart shows its 'tracking since' date — real history from real snapshots, never a backfilled estimate.
What the page actually shows
Three numbers, one chart. The headline net worth figure as of the latest snapshot, the asset total behind it (cash plus investments), and the liability total (cards plus loans) — so when the line moves, you can see in one glance whether it was the asset side or the debt side that did it.
Below that, the trend: every daily snapshot plotted over time, with the "tracking since" date stated right on the chart. If there's only one snapshot so far, the page says so — it never draws a line it doesn't have the data for.
The honest part: only linked accounts count
Skycopia tracks what it can read from connected financial accounts — nothing more. There's no manual-asset entry yet, so your house, your car, a private investment, or crypto in a wallet aren't in the number. If a chunk of your wealth lives outside linkable accounts, treat the figure as your liquid net worth, not your full balance sheet.
Two more honest edges: history starts the day you connect (no backfilled estimates pretending to be past data), and an institution Plaid doesn't support simply won't appear. We'd rather show a smaller number that's real than a bigger one that's partly made up.
One number, maintained for you.

FAQ
How does Skycopia calculate my net worth?
The classic definition: assets minus liabilities. Once your accounts are connected, Skycopia snapshots the balances of every linked account once a day — cash and investment balances count as assets, credit card and loan balances count as liabilities — and records the difference as that day's net worth. You see the latest number, the asset and liability totals behind it, and a trend line built from the daily snapshots.
Which account types are included?
Anything you can link through Plaid: checking, savings, credit cards, and loans, plus investment accounts at supported institutions. Each account's balance rolls into the daily snapshot automatically — you don't type anything in. Accounts you can't or don't link simply aren't counted, which the page is upfront about rather than pretending to a completeness it doesn't have.
Can I add my house, car, or other assets that aren't at a bank?
Not yet. Skycopia currently tracks only what it can read from linked financial accounts, so real estate, vehicles, private investments, and crypto held off-exchange aren't in the number. That means the figure you see is your liquid-ish net worth — accurate for what it covers, but not your full balance sheet if you own a home. Manual asset entries are a natural next step, but we'd rather say plainly what's counted today than imply otherwise.
How far back does the history go?
Snapshots start the day you connect — your first data point appears within about a day, and the trend line appears once there are at least two days of data. Skycopia doesn't backfill or estimate historical net worth from old balances, because that would be a guess dressed up as data. The chart shows its 'tracking since' date so you always know exactly what period it covers.
Is it safe to connect all my accounts to one app?
Connections go through Plaid, the same infrastructure most major finance apps use, and access is read-only: Skycopia can see balances and transactions but can never move money, initiate transfers, or change anything at your bank. You can disconnect any account at any time. Skycopia is free in private beta — no card required.
Stop computing it. Start watching it.
Skycopia reads your accounts read-only and keeps your net worth current with a snapshot every day — assets, liabilities, and the trend, without the spreadsheet.
One user's own audit scanned 6,027 transactions — real numbers, July 2026.
