In the app: profile icon (top right) → Settings → My Subscription → scroll to the bottom → Close my account → confirm through each screen. On the website: profile icon → Profile & Settings → My Subscription → Change Tier → Close Account.

The close-account option won't go through while a deposit or round-up transfer is still pending — Acorns blocks it until in-flight transfers clear, so check your Bank Account settings first if the button does nothing.

Closing an Invest account liquidates your holdings into cash and transfers it to your linked bank (3-6 business days) — that's separate from the monthly subscription charge, and if you have more than one Acorns account (Invest, Later, Checking) each needs its own closure.
